For anyone let alone a child going into hospital can be a daunting adventure and sometimes frightening experience. So as a early years practitioner it’s important to work with the parents and or carers and sometimes the medical staff to make it a smooth transition for the child ,and  to ensure they are happy to go to hospital, for medical treatment or a surgical operations.

Every year 1 in 4 children under the age of five goes into hospital and over 2million children are seen in A&E units every year. Having a meeting with the parents/carer so you know what is going to happen, if they are able to stay with child.
