Unit 15 (DEM 308)-Understand the Role of Communication and Interactions with Individuals who have Dementia helps learners  develop and implement the qualities of an effective relationship with individuals with dementia.It involves the use of positive interactions and communication skills. It also provides learners the knowledge required to develop therapeutic relationships with individuals with dementia based on interactions and communication.

1. Learners will understand that individuals with dementia may communicate in different ways
2. It will also provide learners the skills to understand the importance of positive interactions with individuals with dementia .
3. At the end of the course learners should also be able to understand the factors which can affect interactions and communication of individuals with dementia
